I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and family therapist fluent in both English and Mandarin. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UBC and my Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle.

My professional practice focuses on helping couples and families break away from perpetual unhealthy patterns, reprocess emotional blockages, and restore healthy functions within the family. Whether they are struggling with high conflict, betrayal, mistrust, boundary issues, parenting differences, grief, separation, anxiety, or depression, I can provide appropriate interventions, safety, and support to help them build constructive conversations, restore secure attachment, and improve partnerships.

With a warm and pragmatic approach, I assist my clients in addressing concerns that interfere with their aspired way of life by facilitating their desired changes into the problems and exploring practical solutions to patterns of thought, feeling, and behaviors that no longer serve them. Such approaches have shown effectiveness in helping clients develop new perspectives and creative solutions in their interpersonal relationships.

I also support many adolescents and young adults who struggle with perfectionism, grief in immigration, depression, anxiety, suicidality, and identity. My counselling approach with them aims to increase their self-awareness, uncover their new stories, and assist them to experience the freedom from emotional burden. I deeply believe in the value and strength embedded in their unique stories that can help them overcome their struggles and pain. It is a pleasure to journey with them in this meaningful process.

The modalities I use are Structural Family Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
